Who We Are

Straightline Builders, Inc. is a General Contractor located in Flagstaff, Arizona specializing in commercial, retail, and industrial construction of varying project sizes and locations. As a company, we take pride in the fact that we can acquire the most challenging projects and complete them on time and within budget. We service many different states all over the country including, most likely your own.

With our professional staff, we are able to offer all of our clients the most comprehensive construction team available. Our project team includes a Project Engineer (estimator), Project Manager(s), and a Superintendent for each project. The Project Engineer is responsible for budget control, schedule maintenance, coordination of subcontractors, and constant communication and interaction with the project with the project design team and owner representatives. Project Managers are responsible for the design, engineering management and process, and construction management. When the project is in progress one of our experienced Superintendents is added to complete this management team. This allows the team to be responsible for coordinating with the client to assure that all needs are taken into consideration and integrated into the design.

Pete Muscarella, President of Straightline Builders, Inc. founded the firm in 1997. Mr. Muscarella has been working in the construction field since he was sixteen years old. Working weekends and summers for various construction companies proved to be the path that Pete would follow.

Working as a Project Superintendent for a high end custom home builder on the central coast of California, he gained unparalleled knowledge of the industry from the inside out. After acquiring his Construction Management degree from California Polytechnic State University, Mr. Muscarella worked for a construction company in Lompoc, California for five years. In this time, Pete was able to gain the experience of a seasoned Project Manager. Being the only Estimator/Project Manager the firm had, and handling the volume of 8-15 million dollars of work per year, was a major stepping stone into the vast construction knowledge he offers to all of Straightline Builder’s clients. In 1991 Mr. Muscarella started Straightline Construction, a custom home builder, in San Luis Obispo County. In 1994 Mr. Muscarella relocated to Flagstaff, Arizona as a Project Manager for Westmont Industries, responsible for over two hundred million dollars of government contracts in the design, manufacture, and installation of cranes, primarily for the U.S. Navy. Pete has been able to take the attention to detail that is required for this work and offer it to all of his staff and clients.

With the incalculable experience that Pete has acquired, Straightline Builders, Inc. has been able to provide design/build and construction services for a variety of projects throughout the nation. Peter Muscarella, President of Straightline Builders, Inc, founded the firm in 1997. Mr. Muscarella has been working in the Construction field since he was sixteen years old. Bryan was hired by Straightline Builders in April of 2013 as a project engineer and was promoted to project manager in July of that same year. He had been in the construction industry since 2000 in Tucson and in 2004 became the general manager of the Flagstaff office of a commercial storefront/ door & window company. Along with his knowledge of commercial openings, he brings to SBI a background in architecture and engineering from the University of Arizona. Since working with SBI he has managed both local and out of town projects from coast to coast. Bryan is a team player whom interacts effectively with office and field personnel and enjoys building lasting relationships with clients to help the SBI team secure and maintain a reputation of excellence in the commercial construction industry.

Chris has been with Straightline Builders, Inc. since August, 2016. As a Project Engineer, he is primarily responsible for bidding projects but also is integral in the coordination and administration of active projects. As an office hub for many logistical aspects related to keeping projects moving forward efficiently, Chris will be one of your main points of contact as projects progress. With a background in project administration, architecture, and fabrication Chris brings a unique and comprehensive skill set to Straightline's mission, and yours.

Krista joined Straightline Builders in May of 2017. As the Contract Administrator, she is responsible for executing subcontracts, coordinating between project managers and contractors, collecting and monitoring pay applications and all the necessary paperwork. Krista has a 10 year background in new home construction in Phoenix, starting as a walk through specialist, promoted to a Superintendent. Moving to Flagstaff in the fall of 2015 was an exciting change and becoming part of a great company and hardworking team at Straightline Builders has been amazing! If you do not find me at SBI’s, you will find me hiking or biking up one of our many trails in beautiful Flagstaff or on a crazy outdoor adventure.
